Charlie Austin's Rant
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46166143

It's time for more players to express their dissatisfaction with the standard of refereeing in the PL. Yes, they'll get a fine but the more that do it will force the PL act so they don't see their brand tarnished.

As we saw against Spurs, even when VAR is available they still fuck up. It's getting ridiculous.

not just football alfs, the cunts can't even get it right in rugby after watching it in SLOW MOTION

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
I thought it was refreshing to see and more managers and players should have a pop like that as the "I'm saying nothing in case I get fined" routine isn't working.

It's the worst bunch of Referees I can remember. Far too many of them look way out of their depth and don't seem to have any real confidence in the decisions they make but VAR will only be any use if you have very good officials in the box forcing the issue to the Referee if there is a mistake.

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Massive overreaction from the pikey.

Firstly Yoshida was in a position that affected the goalkeeper, if you watch it Yoshida moved his body to allow the ball to pass him.

Secondly and most importantly Watford should have had a penalty when Bertrand brought down a Watford player in the box.

Swings and roundabouts Charlie son.

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
totally agree, on average 3 games a week are being decided by bad referring and linesman decisions, VAR works so give it to them

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
It’s a start, but more players and managers need to draw attention to the blatant favouritism shown by officials to the top six teams whose fan bases/sat tv subscribers make up 90+% of the football supporting public and without whose support/monthly sat tv payments is essential to the financial well being of the game/financial well being of the top six

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Yeah, but how are they going to attract and keep the casual viewers if they get all the refereeing controversies removed from the game?

They've got our custom already. They want MORE!!!

This is what I imagine Northern Sold looks like when he is whining about some minor offside in the mud cuddling from Twickers.
Except Austin is 6 stone lighter and isn’t wearing red corduroy trousers.

Questioning a referee?
3 match ban for C Austin

Nothing more tedious than people droning on about referees. Bad decisions from officials is part of sport and technology will still produce bad decisions that no doubt people will drone on about then.

I don’t remember any refs come out and slate Austin whenever he misses a sitter?

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
He'll get a slap from the "authorities" that's nailed on.

But if those same "authorities" don't, can't or won't see that there is a problem, this will only escalate - however hard they come down on young Chuck here.

The incompetences/favouritism is far too consistent to be a series of coincidences.

Remind me again, how many English referees were at the most recent World Cup?

If FIFA don't think they're good enough, they should be stripped of their FIFA accreditation & status until they prove themselves.

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
When that cunt scudamore came out and more or less said Man Utd have to be in the champs league or the premier league would lose its appeal to worldwide audiences you just knew refs would favour the top clubs.

I wonder why the other 14 clubs bother really when you hear that.

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
I don't know what his or the motd pundits problems were to be honest. How the fuck is a player not interfeering with play if he's standing in front of the goalkeeper, between him and the ball, and has to swerve out the way to let the ball go past, it's ridiculous.

Imo you should be deemed as interfeering of you're standing in the box.

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
The ref also missed a stonewall pen up the other end which should have resulted in a red card for a Southampton defender.

Probably cost Watford the game

Sven Roeder 12:07 Sun Nov 11
Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Just watching MOTD
Brooks hacked down for Bournemouth... no pen
Bamba offside for Cardiff’s winner

etc etc
VAR FFS! Now

I see Bamba took his shirt off and threw it away.
Referee asked him if he took it off. Said no so wasn’t booked.
CLOWNS

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
And VAR will be used to suit the Big 6 even more, and like we saw against the other mob 2 weeks ago, the ref doesn't deem it worthy to refer.

Much as though I hate racket sports - the use of technology in their game seems to have had a positive effect.

Players all respect the decision and the use of challenges rather than disputing every single decision would allow the game to flow better.

Right now, its a complete mish mash of money ruining a game between 22 men, under the premise of fair play when the game is corrupt as hell.

I thought the officials at our game were awful looked completely out of their depth, both ways.

the 'it's always happened' argument is bollocks. they were made fulltime to improve the standard, it's got worse
